A CHANGE FOR HIGH STREET STUDIO & GALLERY!

Sheep Jones and Julie Cyr will be joining Susan Tobey White for the 
2009 season at the gallery.

Sheep Jones, an artist from Virginia, has been showing her work at  the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria and was chosen from 140 artists as Artist of the Year in 2003. Her whimsical figurative work and still  life oil and encausitc paintings will be a wonderful addition to the  gallery.

Julie, a painter from Portsmouth, NH, who has had careers as a  professional musician, singer, songwriter and as a registered nurse  is now focusing much of her time on painting.  Julie’s paintings of   buildings have a very solid, strong feel to them while having a sense  of mystery.  Her paintings of birds and animals can also claim the  description of “whimsical.”

Both she and Julie grew up in Waterville, Maine and have maintained  their connection by returning with their families in the summers to  Belfast where they own a home. They spend their summers painting in  their studio overlooking Penobscot Bay and enjoying the beauty and  charm of the Maine coast.
